The 50th Anniversary Academic Symposium of the KIBS is scheduled for November 1st.

The theme is "The Future of Buddhism, the Path of Buddhists," featuring the following five speakers:

  • Lee Min-yong (Former Director, Chairman of the Korean Institute of Religious Culture)
  • Yang Hyung-jin (Emeritus Professor, Korea University)
  • Kwon Seok-man (Emeritus Professor, Seoul National University)
  • Sung Tae-yong (Emeritus Professor, Konkuk University)
  • Myungbeop Sunim (Gukilam, Haeinsa Temple)
