Gudohoe (Bodhi Seekers' Society)

 

The Gudohoe (Bodhi Seekers' Society) was founded at KIBS in October 1974 by those who completed the introductory course on Buddhism held in July 1974, and the practice course held in August of the same year. Afterwards, the Daegu Gudohoe was formed in February 1976, the Busan Gudohoe in August 1977, the Gwangju Gudohoe in October 1990, and the Daejeon Gudohoe in February 1999. Currently, along with the Seoul Gudohoe, the Daegu Gudohoe and the Daejeon Gudohoe are meeting for lectures and practices in connection with the institute in Seoul.

If you sign up as a member of the Seoul Gudohoe, you will receive the monthly Gudo published by the institute along with information about the institute's events, and you can participate in the institute's member activities. The membership fee is 20,000 won per month. If you wish to participate, please notify the administration of the institute of your intention to participate by email or phone and deposit the due into your bank account.

Daegu Gudohoe

The Daegu Gudohoe meets every Saturday from 10:30 to 12:00. The current president is Bak Jeong-ha.

The society center is located at 24 Keungol-gil, Nam-gu, Daegu. If you would like to become a member or attend a Buddhist service, please contact the center. Phone 053-623-8595
